How is Fini Finish different from a regular plating shop?
Fini Finish is committed to provide the highest quality finish available, show quality. All restoration parts are stripped down to the base metal, never plating over the existing finish. This provides the best adhesion and eliminates our plating from peeling.
Can I receive a quote over the phone or by fax or e-mail?
No, we do not provide quotes over the phone. It is impossible to give an accurate estimate without examining the pieces. No quotations of cost will be given until the pieces are sent out to our facility for an estimate.
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes, Fini Finish does have a minimum charge of $250.
What is the expected time of delivery?
4 – 10 weeks is average. This will be determined at time of quotation.
Does Fini Finish restore pot metal & zinc-based die castings?
Yes. All pot metal and zinc-based die castings are stripped, all pits are drilled out, filled, hand sanded and polished. The copper plating process is extensive, up to six hours then the parts are copper buffed and nickel-chrome plated.
Is there a possibility that pieces may be lost or mixed in with another customers work?
Upon receipt of an order, each individual piece is checked in according to the inventory sheet from the customer. Pieces are then identified to the order which they belong with a digital picture of each order is taken for reference. All pieces from an order will remain together though the entire restoration and plating process.
Do you guarantee your work?
Our work is guaranteed not to crack or peel with normal use for one year.
